About Hanson Hills
Hanson Hills Winter Sports Park in Grayling is a mecca of winter fun offering 11 slopes for downhill skiing, 35 km of cross country terrain, ice skating, snowshoeing, tubing, horse drawn sleigh rides, lessons, rentals, and a snack bar. Two lodges provide shelter for weary winter activists and in the Main Lodge, our snack bar produces very tasty treats. Hanson Hills has a rich history of activity and controversy. Opened in 1929, it was the first downhill ski area in Michigan and the second to open in the Midwest.
